Why don't some types appear in Google's Rich Results Test?
Website, Collection and Blog are valid schema but not Google rich-result types, so the Rich Results Test does not list them. Check them with the Schema Markup Validator instead.
What it is
Google's Rich Results Test only reports structured data types that can produce a rich result in Google Search, such as breadcrumbs, products or articles. Some types the app publishes are perfectly valid but aren't rich-result types, so the test simply doesn't list them. These are:
Website
Collection
Blog
They're still read by search engines and help describe your store. Google's test just doesn't show them, because they don't produce a special search feature. To check these types, use the Schema Markup Validator instead. It's a general tool that reports all structured data on a page.
How to check them
Make sure the type is switched on in SEO schema and the SEO schema app embed is on.
Open the type's page in the app and scroll to Test with Google. For these three types, the app shows a note explaining this and puts the Schema Markup Validator button first.
Click Schema Markup Validator. It opens validator.schema.org with a sample page from your store already filled in.
Look for the type in the results.
If the validator reports errors, check the type's settings in the app, save, and test again.
Why it's useful
It's easy to assume something is broken when a type is missing from Google's test, but often nothing is wrong. Knowing which types are rich-result types saves you from chasing problems that don't exist. Using the Schema Markup Validator for the others gives you the same confidence that your data is valid. Together, the two tools cover every type the app publishes, so you can confirm your entire structured data setup is working.
