How do I change the breadcrumb style?
Open Settings, pick the theme, choose one of the ten styles under Breadcrumb style and click Save. Styles are set per theme, so each theme can have its own look.
What it is
The breadcrumb style sets the overall look of your trail: what separates each step and how the steps are presented. Breadcrumbs comes with ten styles, from plain chevrons (Home › Women › Dresses) to slashes, arrows and rounded pills. You can see each one before choosing it. Styles are set per theme, so your live theme and a draft theme can each have their own look.
How to set it up
Open Settings from the app's navigation.
Use the theme picker in the header to choose the theme you're styling.
Go to the Breadcrumb style section.
Look through the ten styles and preview them.
Select the one that fits your store's design.
Click Save in the save bar to apply it to that theme.
Depending on your plan, some styles may be marked Included in a higher plan. Those can be previewed but need an upgrade to use.
The style controls the overall shape of the trail. To fine-tune details such as font size, colours, spacing or the Home label, use the breadcrumb block's settings in the theme editor. Setting a style also completes the "style picked" step in the Home checklist.
Why it's useful
A breadcrumb should feel like part of your theme, not something added on top. Choosing from ready-made styles gets you a polished look in seconds without writing CSS. A minimal store might suit simple slashes, while a playful brand might prefer pills. Per-theme styles mean you can try a new look on a draft theme while your live store stays as it is, then publish both together. Seeing the styles before you choose takes the guesswork out, so you can pick the one that reads most clearly against your theme's fonts and colours.
