What happens if I uninstall?
The breadcrumb block, Categories block and SEO schema embed disappear from your theme, the app's data is removed, and your store keeps working. Your theme files, collections, products and menus are untouched.
What it is
Uninstalling Breadcrumbs removes the app cleanly from your store. The breadcrumb block, the Categories block and the SEO schema embed disappear from your theme, and the app's data is removed. Your store keeps working normally. The app never edited your theme files, so there's no leftover code to clean up and no broken layout. Your Shopify collections, products and menus are untouched.
If you reinstall later, the app starts fresh. Your previous category tree, styles and settings aren't restored, so you'd set them up again.
How to uninstall
In your Shopify admin, go to Settings › Apps and sales channels.
Find Breadcrumbs in the list.
Click it, then choose Uninstall.
Confirm the uninstall when Shopify asks.
Visit a product page on your storefront to confirm the breadcrumb is gone and the page looks normal.
If you're on a paid plan, uninstalling also stops future charges through Shopify billing.

Why it's useful
Knowing an app can be removed cleanly makes it much less risky to try. Because Breadcrumbs works entirely through Shopify's theme app extensions, uninstalling leaves no code in your theme, unlike apps that inject snippets you have to delete by hand later. Your catalog is never changed by the uninstall, so your collections, products and menus are exactly as you left them. The fresh start on reinstall also means no outdated data comes back to cause confusion.
