How do I see which breadcrumb each product shows?
Open Products. Every product is listed with the breadcrumb it shows on your storefront, the reason for it, and one of four tags: Custom, Can improve, Automatic or Needs review.
What it is
The Products page lists your products with the breadcrumb each one shows on your storefront, and the reason it shows that trail. Every product gets one of four tags:
Custom: the product is in a collection that's in your category tree, so it gets a full trail you arranged. Products where you picked the category yourself are tagged Custom too.
Can improve: two categories in your tree fit equally well, so you may want to pick the right one.
Automatic: the product is in a collection, but that collection isn't in your tree, so the trail comes from that collection.
Needs review: the product isn't in any collection (or only in All products), so its trail is just Home › product.
Tabs at the top let you filter the list by tag.
How to use it
Open Products from the app's navigation.
Scan the list, or use the Custom, Automatic, Can improve and Needs review tabs to focus on one group.
Read the reason on each row to understand where the trail comes from.
Use the action on the row to improve it: Add to tree, Add to collection, Choose, Reset or View in tree.
Why it's useful
Without this page, the only way to check your breadcrumbs is to open products one by one on your storefront. The Products page shows your whole catalog at once and points straight at the products that need attention. Working through the Needs review and Automatic tabs is the quickest way to give every product a meaningful trail. That improves navigation for shoppers and gives search engines a consistent category structure across your store.
